Dr. Cyril Davis, DNP is the Program Director at Lakes Center. He recently completed his psychiatric training at Wayne State University, where he earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health. His clinical interests include mental health advocacy, community education, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Before transitioning to mental health care, Dr. Davis spent 15 years in local and federal law enforcement. After experiencing a traumatic brain injury, he redirected his life’s purpose to helping others heal and thrive. He enthusiastically joined Dr Lynne Lyon’s mission for Lakes Center and is now an integral part of the team. His unique background and boundless energy allows him to bring a deep sense of empathy, resilience, and understanding to his patients as well as everyone else with whom he interacts..

Dr. Davis can be found talking about mental wellness in many public events; he frequently leads workshops, collaborates with community organizations, and volunteers to enhance awareness and accessibility of mental health resources.
