Genevieve Taylor, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Genevieve is a fully licensed professional counselor. She received her Master of Counseling degree from Oakland University in 2012, and she received her Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Certification in 2019. She has worked in a variety of community mental health settings, including a mobile crisis team and in a residential substance abuse treatment center. She works with children, adolescents, adults and families in individual as well as group therapy sessions.
Genevieve holds a safe and compassionate space for individuals to explore, learn and grow. Additionally, she uses evidence-based treatment interventions such as cognitive and behavioral modifications, mindfulness, play and art therapy, as well as trauma-informed care interventions. Genevieve focuses treatment on increasing strengths, building resiliency skills and deepening connections. She will mirror the courage and curiosity each person brings to the therapy room. In working with Genevieve, a person will begin a healing journey to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the world around them.
