Susan Deutsch, LMSW
Clinical Social Worker
Susan received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan in 1985. She has 40 years of clinical experience treating clients with a wide range of issues. Her practice includes adult men and women of all ages who are trying to bring about positive change in their lives. Her approach is eclectic, using a broad range of techniques from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and supportive psychotherapies. Over the past 5 years she has been immersed in training in IFS (Internal Family Systems) model of psychotherapy, enhancing and deepening her “bag of tools” to facilitate the deepest healing for individuals with trauma histories.
Susan believes, “Contemplating change is the first and sometimes most difficult step”. She says…”Together we will collaborate to understand how your history has shaped you, and how you can change the patterns underlying your current challenges. We will bring healing to the pain and burdens you carry from those difficult experiences and help you find and follow your own internal wisdom to make the changes you seek. Finding this healthy balance between acceptance and change will lead to more peace, satisfaction and happiness in your daily life”
